Marc Frissard

At 15 years old, Marc Frissard started his first apprenticeship of two years in the craft of making cakes and pastries in the Vendée, France. At the age of twenty he decided to take his talent and “savoir faire” to Australia. After a number of years working as a pastry chef, Chocolatier and consultant with trips to China, Marc pursued his dream by opening his own business together with his wife and business partner Luana , bringing the “French experience” to Melbourne.

Owned by qualified French pastry chef, Marc Frissard, alongside with his wife Luana, Gateaux saw its doors opened early April 2010 and has met with immediate success. Arguably one of the best French patisserie in Melbourne this “Salon de Thé” is the ultimate destination for anyone who is seeking a little bit of France.
